Jim Bayly is the administrative assistant for Mike Denney and the Maverick wrestling program. Bayly and Coach Denney have worked together for 39 years.
He is a former athletic director and head football coach for Monroe (Neb.) High School and was the UNO men’s equipment manager for three years. Jim is the matchmaker for all of the Maverick tournaments, including the Kaufman-Brand Open. He is currently the head equipment manager for the Boys Town Athletic Department.
Bayly was inducted into the Kaufman-Brand Hall of Fame in 1999 and the UNO Wrestling Hall of Fame in 2005.
Bayly has also been the matchmaker for five NCAA Division II national tournaments.
IIn the summer of 2006 Bayly was inducted into the Nebraska Scholastic Wrestling Coaches Association Hall of Fame for his outstanding contributions to Nebraska wrestling.
He and his wife Joyce, have four children and two grandchildren. |
